I really enjoy Dan Brown's novels and would like to recommend them here. Love all the symbology and fascinating mysteries that he includes in his works. My favorite by far is The Da Vinci Code starring Professor Robert Langdon as the protagonist, but I also like his most recent book, Origin. Angels and Demons which is Langdon's first adventure, is one heck of a thrill ride too. I eagerly await his next novel and highly recommend them. 
I only saw The Da Vinci Code movie and felt it was very mediocre compared to the book which is awesome. Have not seen the other movies yet.
As far as his stand-alone novels go, I think Deception Point is an excellent read also. --tup--
