To start collecting the parts, Michael must first purchase the Sonar Docks at Paleto Cove and then speak to Abigail. Actually any of the main characters can buy this, it doesn't effect Michaels sub parts mission.
After you speak to Abigail, she provides you with a Dinghy complete with scuba diving gear. You can take the Dinghy and use the Trackify app to find the Submarine Parts.
When you get close to a part, exit the Dinghy and scuba dive down to the depths and find that part (Michael will automatically equip the scuba gear).
Submarine Parts Locations
There are 30 parts in the game, scattered about the ocean floor. Below is a list of those 30 parts, and information on where to find them.
SUBMARINE PART 1
Found on the sea floor off the coast of Paleto Bay. It is sitting between the two pieces of broken plane fuselage.
SUBMARINE PART 2
Off the coast of Paleto Bay, not far from Part 1. It is inside the lower section of on of the fuselage pieces.
SUBMARINE PART 3
Again off the Paleto Bay area, just a short swim from Part 2. This time it is sitting on a ledge with one of the planes broken off engines.
SUBMARINE PART 4
Off the coast of Fort Zancudo, sitting on the sea floor by a detached tail motor from an airliner.
SUBMARINE PART 5
Inside the hull of a cargo plane on the ocean floor, off the coast of Fort Zancudo. A Hidden Package is nearby also.
SUBMARINE PART 6
Just past Part 5 is a ravine in the ocean floor. Head down there and you will find Part 6.
SUBMARINE PART 7
Further off the coast of Fort Zancudo, this part is sitting near the front portion of the downed airliner.
SUBMARINE PART 8
Right near Part 7, this one can be found inside the front section of the fuselage off the coast of Fort Zancudo.
SUBMARINE PART 9
A bit to the south of Parts 4-8, part 9 can be found behind the wheelhouse of a sunken vessel.
SUBMARINE PART 10
At the other end of the boat where part 9 is found, you will find part 10.
SUBMARINE PART 11
Under a bridge that runs north to south into Port Los Santos.
SUBMARINE PART 12
Found by a crane arm sitting on the ocean floor, in the north waters of Port Los Santos.
SUBMARINE PART 13
In the same canal as 12, swim further north to find this one sitting in a rusted metal frame.
SUBMARINE PART 14
At the north sided ofw the Terminal in Port Los Santos, there is a part found of the bow of the Ocean Motion shop.
SUBMARINE PART 15
In the waters just off the north side of the Ocean Motion shop found in Port Los Santos.
SUBMARINE PART 16
Off the stern, or the eastern end of the Ocean Motion shop. The part sits among some old wooden pillars.
SUBMARINE PART 17
In the water off the east side of the Daisy-Lee, a shop found at the Terminal in Port Los Santos. The part is sitting on the sea floor, among some wood from a ruined pier.
SUBMARINE PART 18
Further to the east of part 17, 18 can be found among the wreck of the tail of a downed airplane.
SUBMARINE PART 19
19 is found among the same plane as part 18.
SUBMARINE PART 20
Part 20 can be found inside a piece of hull from the same plane where you found parts 18 and 19.
SUBMARINE PART 21
Off in the waters south of the Terminal in Port of South Los Santos. This part can be found inside a small pipe.
SUBMARINE PART 22
A couple dozen feet west of part 21, part 22 can be found under a rock archway.
SUBMARINE PART 23
To the north-west of part 22, in the canal, you will find this part. It is sitting on a old, ruined wooden pier.
SUBMARINE PART 24
Found in the waters along the left of the South Port of Los Santos. It is among some old, rusted framework.
SUBMARINE PART 25
Off the east coast of the National Office of Security Enforcement. There is a large sunken boat in the water, and the part is sitting near the bow of the ship.
SUBMARINE PART 26
In the cargo hold of the ship you will find part 26, on the upper levels.
SUBMARINE PART 27
Part 27 is a little north of 26, among some more debris.
SUBMARINE PART 28
In the same basic area as 27, part 28 lays inside inside ship's cargo compartment, in upper half of it and obscured behind three-some containers, making it extremely hard to locate, mainly during night.
SUBMARINE PART 29
Found off the coast of Mount Gordo, this piece is simply sitting on the sea floor, however sharks are common in the area, making it tough to reach.
SUBMARINE PART 30
A bit north of part 29, 30 is in the same shark infested waters.
All Submarine Parts Found!
After finding all the parts, Abigail will immediately contact you and requests to meet with you at Paleto Cove, which begins Abigail's second mission, What Lies Beneath.
When all 30 Submarine Parts have been discovered, Mike will receive a phone call from Abigail requesting to meet with him at Paleto Cove. When you arrive at Paleto Cove, take notice of the Declasse sedan sitting at the parking lot area which belongs to Abigail.
Approach Abigail at the docks and Mike will reveal the results of his findings. In return for your hard work, she passes you $10 and an autographed photo of her ex-lover.
From that point, you can either let Abigail walk up to the parking lot and drive away OR....eliminate her in frustration.
Rather than just shooting Abigail in the back as she walks up the stairs, follow her to her Declasse sedan and wait for her to get in. As she drives off, quickly equip a Sticky Bomb, toss it at the car, and then detonate it to complete the mission.
