Hi
At the rate I'm going, I'll have to start introducing a rota system so that I'd be able to visit all the forums I'm a member of with equal time. Currently a member of at least 10 forums.
How many forums are you a member of?

Currently 24 boards. I really have to pace myself, because it's overwhelming, so the owners know I can only come in a couple of times per week. I have neck/shoulder injuries. I need to keep up my own board and at this point managing well.  |

Yes it can be draining when your trying to show people that you still care about their boards.
It sounds like you've got some good admins there who're considerate to your needs Daz.

magicmuggle01, Yes I do. One Admin has boards and knows the Admin area well and themes. The other is a good poster and support system.

I visit over 30 a day and after 14 years I still enjoy them.
A reason I can do this is I am up early and retired.
Everyone is different.

My system is easy whoever visits my forum I post back at theirs. I can visit up to 12 forums daily and some get one post while others get more. I guess you reap what you sow around the forums back at your own forum and everyone's time is precious.

Used too be a member of about 5 forums, but a lot of them have dropped down in activity or been deleted entirely. Now I only come around 2-3 forums regularly.

You’re lucky to have so few forums to visit, @bloodmancer , so you can stay longer to post on them. Not really. I was a big part of those communities and even founded a few of them from literally nothing. So losing so many of them after these last 8 years has really sucked. I've struggled to find forums that interest me. Most role-players aren't interested in original stories, and even less in sci- fi, and niche discussion forums are dying out because most the newer generations simply aren't interested in this form of media anymore.. |

This really sucks. Mind you I've seen many Sci-Fi forums go to the wall because they don't have enough on offer for people.
I plan to do more for this site and put up a lot of stuff before I advertise on other sites. By the time I'm finished they'll be that much on offer that people will join.
Ann's help has been invaluable and the changes that have been made will (with any luck) attract new members.

I'm a member of 16 active ones atm. Another 7 (3 of which are in MM) I only go to very semi regularly as those admins only pop in once in awhile.
I'm the same as @emerald really. If people go on mine, I'll go on theirs, sometimes I don't have the time but I find the time as loyalty is a two way street. I run a business plus have Epilepsy so it gets hard sometimes but manage somehow --tup--
